Director of Operations - Six Sigma Black Belt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Operations is responsible for the achievement of operational and financial objectives in assigned market. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and must be self-directed with strong leadership and influence abilities. Primary job functions include project management, process improvement, and achieving financial objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages and evaluates financial progress to determine operational interventions required to meet financial objectives and timeline targets
  • Surveys region to ascertain needs and recommend solutions to business and financial problems
  • Positively leads and influences employees to achieve individual and business objectives
  • Forms and maintains positive relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
  • Identifies, develops, and implements operational systems and process improvements
  • Manages a complex schedule that requires constant and consistent changes and modifications based on team structure, new and existing buildings, patient growth, and new providers joining the team. 
  • Coordinates with credentialing, billing department, and Market Director to monitor team revenue ensuring teams are meeting monthly production goals, locking charts in a timely manner, and resolving any billing issues
  • Provides leadership and direction for market administrative staff 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Health Care Administration; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in operations role with financial accountability
  • Strong leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience in health care organization required
  • Six Sigma Black Belt required
