The Clinical Documentation Specialist facilitates clinical documentation improvement through the identification of documentation issues; including routine interaction with physicians, other patient caregivers, risk adjustment and staff coding; this helps assure the quality of the documentation used for regulatory compliance. This role is critical to ensuring our documentation is accurate and we are following best practices in our review of and assurance of our compliance.
