Our care teams travel directly to patients who reside in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Group Home communities throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida and are supported by clinical operations and administrative colleagues who work remotely or at our corporate offices in Stillwater, Minnesota, and Tampa, Florida.

Position Overview:
Bluestone Physician Services is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of EHR Operations to lead the oversight, optimization, and innovation of our electronic health record (EHR) system, Aprima. This position is responsible for the operational leadership of our EHR Informatics, Training & Support, and Technical Teams. The Director will oversee system design, implementation, and support strategies that align with clinical workflows, improve patient care delivery, and support organizational growth.
This role combines strong leadership capabilities with technical acumen in EHR configuration, implementation, and support, ensuring scalable and efficient systems across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of EHR project management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
Location: This is a remote/hybrid role - prefer that candidate hired resides in our Minnesota market (also open to candidates located in our other markets of Wisconsin or Florida).
Salary: $120,000 - $165,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of informatics professionals, trainers, and EHR technical specialists.
- Direct the design, testing, configuration, implementation, and optimization of the Aprima EHR system.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Aprima, overseeing system functionality, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational leaders to drive user-centered enhancements and system improvements.
- Manage EHR-related projects, timelines, budgets, resources, and change control processes.
- Design, implement, and support templates, clinical documentation tools, and reports for stakeholders.
- Oversee third-party system integrations including lab, imaging, HIEs, and other interoperability components.
- Support the development and adoption of best practices for system use, standardization, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain test environments and validate system changes in collaboration with training and IT teams.
- Facilitate effective communication between clinical users, IT staff, and leadership to align EHR strategy with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting an EHR system in a healthcare environment.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in system management, configuration, and maintenance of an EHR platform (Aprima experience preferred).
- Proven background in large-scale EHR project implementation.
- Team leadership and progressive management experience in healthcare or health IT.
- Advanced technical proficiency, including template design and workflow development.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across clinical, technical, and executive teams.
- Project management experience; PMP or other relevant certification preferred.
